About

Roldan with some of his nieces and nephews

Beneath all the heavy bureaucracy of today’s political systems, politics to me is just about people helping people. When you think of it, we’re all politicians in our own ways.

About Roldan

Roldan C. Sevillano was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada with his family when he was 5 years old.  Since then, he has planted deep roots in Manitoba and the Tyndall Park community.  As a proud graduate of Sisler High School and Red River College, he is eager to give back to the community that he calls home.

Raised with the values of hard work and respect, Roldan believes in giving back to his community.  Locally, Roldan’s volunteerism and community service is far-reaching.  Roldan has served on the City of Winnipeg’s Citizens Equity Committee, advocating for youth empowerment, caring for seniors, and poverty reduction.  Roldan also has deep roots in his church community, where he has led the Manitoba-Saskatchewan wing of a youth group. With a mind that looks beyond our borders, Roldan has worked with international organizations for the reduction of poverty in the developing world.

Educated in Therapeutic Recreation for Older Adults through Red River College, Roldan worked for nearly six years at a Winnipeg nursing home.  He believes in providing our seniors with the care that they deserve and in bridging the gap between young and old.  As a Canadian by choice, Roldan believes in an open, accepting, and multicultural Manitoba.

Roldan looks forward to rolling up his sleeves to serve as MLA for Tyndall Park.
